What we do
We work the factual questions that stall legal and business matters: where a party can be reached, who actually controls an entity, which heirs an estate must notify, and whether a stated narrative matches the public record. The work is performed through lawful public-record and open-source research, organized into reports that a reviewer who was not involved can follow.
We are based in Baltimore, MD, and most of our recurring work comes from the Maryland, Washington DC, and Northern Virginia corridor. We accept qualifying matters nationwide, subject to jurisdiction, record availability, and permissible purpose.
How we work
Analyst-led, not export-led
Aggregated data is where a case starts. A person reads the file, resolves conflicts between sources, and decides what the record actually supports.
Purpose before research
We evaluate the requester, the relationship to the matter, and the intended use before accepting an assignment. Some requests are declined, and that is the point.
Documented and reviewable
Every material finding carries a source note and a record date, and every report states what could not be determined.
Restraint with information
We collect what the matter requires and nothing more, and we do not publish or expose subject data through any public lookup tool.
What we will not claim
We do not guarantee that a subject will be located. We do not track phones, access accounts or private messages, or obtain protected records without authorization. We do not provide consumer reports for employment, housing, credit, or insurance eligibility decisions. Any credential, license, or membership we publish will be one that has been verified.
All case requests are reviewed for a lawful and authorized purpose. TracePoint Forensics reserves the right to decline any request that does not meet its compliance and ethical standards.
Editorial and reporting standards
Our published articles are written by the TracePoint Forensics editorial team, reviewed before publication, and dated with both publication and update dates. We do not publish case results, client names, or subject information.
